See how 3Shape digital scanning, doctor-led treatment planning, in-house printing and the Proalign patient app work together in your clear aligner treatment in Dubai.
Clear aligner treatment uses digital tools from the first scan through the production of each aligner set. At Proalign Smile Shop, the process includes a 3Shape digital scan, a clinician-reviewed plan, in-house printing on Dutch equipment, and progress support through the patient app.

These tools help the clinical team plan and follow treatment. They do not replace an in-person assessment or the decisions made by your clinicians.
What happens during the digital scan?
At your free clinic consultation, a 3Shape scanner captures images of your teeth and creates a digital model. You can view that model on screen and discuss your treatment goals with the clinic team.
The scan gives the team a starting point for planning. It is not a treatment decision by itself. Your clinician reviews your teeth, your goals, and the information gathered at the appointment before recommending the next step.
How the 3D treatment plan is prepared
The scan is used to prepare a 3D treatment plan. It shows the proposed stages of movement and helps the clinical team discuss what treatment may involve. Your clinicians review the plan and decide whether it is suitable for your case.
The visualisation is a planning tool, not a guarantee of an exact final result. Your teeth and treatment progress are checked during care, and the plan may need adjustment if your clinical team recommends it. Read more about the 3D treatment plan.
How aligners are made at Proalign
Proalign Smile Shop prints aligners in house using Dutch equipment. Each set goes through the clinic’s quality-control process before it is provided to you. The team follows the aligners from production through delivery.
The aim is to make the aligners according to the approved treatment plan and keep production checks within the clinic’s process. Your clinician remains responsible for reviewing how your treatment is progressing.
Support through the patient app
The patient app keeps treatment information together and supports communication between appointments. Patients can see their reports, receive reminders for aligner changes, and send progress photos for review.
When a photo check is part of your plan, your doctor reviews it and confirms whether you should continue to the next aligner. If you have a question, the app also gives you a way to message your doctor.
How technology relates to treatment cost
Digital scanning, treatment planning, aligner production, and progress checks are parts of the care process. Your treatment needs depend on your individual case, so the clinical team confirms the plan and price after an assessment.
At Proalign Smile Shop, clear aligner treatment starts from AED 6,900, depending on your case. You can review what is included on the clear aligner prices page, or book a free clinic consultation to discuss your treatment.
Frequently asked questions
Does a digital scan replace a clinical assessment?
No. A scan creates a digital model, but your clinician also assesses your teeth and discusses your goals before recommending treatment.
Can I see my teeth in 3D?
Yes. The scan creates a digital model that can be viewed on screen. Your clinical team can use it to explain the proposed plan.
Who reviews my treatment plan?
Your clinical team reviews the scan and the proposed plan. Software supports the planning process; your clinicians decide what is suitable for your case.
What does the patient app do?
The app keeps treatment reports available, provides aligner-change reminders, and supports photo check-ins and messages with your doctor.
